The Chateau
Our Accommodation
The construction of the chateau commenced in the 16th century and has continued to be rebuilt through the ages; the only remaining part from the 16th C is the dovecote, the outbuildings remain from the 17th C, the central part of the chateau in the 18th C and finally the left and right wings in the 19th century.
To spend time in the gardens and park is truly mesmerising and must be seen to appreciate the true beauty – there are so many wonderful environments to explore, from the terraced kitchen garden to beyond the lake and little ‘Gironde’ stream to the orchard and finally the natural beauty of the forest and cliff.
